Highlighted Volunteer Opportunities:
Helpline Volunteer Position: Imagine it’s 3 am and you know something is just not “right” in your gut about someone you love? 24/7 anyone can submit a Helpline Request online or place a phone call to 800-Helpline (5-PARENT, ext. 15). The Helpline needs dependable volunteers with compassionate listening skills and have basic computer skills to confirm basic information. Being the first point of contact, you will connect family members to programs of PAVE to address their concerns, obtain information, and make choices for their loved one.
Time commitment: 2-4 hours a week, open Monday-Thursdays.
General Office Help: Crunching numbers, looking at data, organizing information, and/or researching resources or information. If you like any of these, the programs of PAVE are in need of your skills. Information, data, research, and resource gathering/compilation allow us to help families and youth with relevant resources and information. You can enhance that support and impact their lives, without even needing to leave your home*!
Time commitment: 2-10+ hours a week, a month or in a quarter; *7 day a week with reliable internet and/or Monday – Friday at the PAVE office on the TCC campus.
Annual Event Volunteer: Do you enjoy looking for things – goods, services, online shopping, dreaming of places to travel? Imagine asking those companies to donate their goods or services to benefit youth with disabilities so they can pursue their dreams and explore their future. Donate your time, at home, with your friends, or in our office looking up information, emailing letters, and securing donations for our October 19th Annual Event! It’s a lot of fun, can be done a few hours a week, on an afternoon with friends and family, during conversations with your neighbors and/or coworkers during happy hour, or weekly in our office. Your amazing research, shopping, and trip planning skills can be deployed to secure donations that raise money for youth with disabilities! Rewarding and impactful for our mission and community.
Time commitment: Depends on your availability and preferences! Networking in the community a couple hours a week; Or research wherever you have reliable internet 7 days a week and/or Monday-Friday in our office on the TCC Campus.
