Are you a youth in 5th grade through 12th grade and have
an “IEP” or a 504 plan?
This learning group is for you and your parents.
With a student and parent track, you will look at how to
start preparing for transition from high school with Start
Now! 3 sessions are offered to get you and your parents
thinking about your future! Start now! is being held in
partnership with University Place School District special
Student and Parent Topics:
- Building Community
- Circles of Support
- My Hopes & Dreams
- Planning for the Future
- Self advocacy
- Understanding the systems
- Parent Panel
Interpreters will be
provided with one week
Kennewick School District and Pasco School District, along with PAVE, will discuss special education for families in this three-part series.
March 26th – Part One: Tracy Wilson and Matt Scott-Special Education 101 & Meet and talk to the directors.
April 24th – Part Two: KSD/PSD staff & PAVE-What is an IEP? What can it be used for?
May 22nd – Part Three: PAVE and Parent to Parent-What Resources are available to help?
