Job Description: Lifespan Respite WA (LRW) Program Specialist

Title:  LRW Program Specialist                                    Reports to: LRW Director

Position Summary: The Lifespan Respite WA Program Specialist supports unpaid caregivers across WA and the person that is their care recipient (i.e., child, spouse, friend, family member, neighbor, etc.) with a disability. This position will provide support to all caregivers awarded a voucher to explore, select, and use their respite services in 90-days from their award. This will include caregivers and their families participating in a family camp retreat pilot program.

Job Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Support

  • Provide time-sensitive support, training, information, and resources to voucher recipients to explore, select, and utilize respite provider services including the family camp retreat pilot program. This will include preparing and attending or pre/post the family camp retreat.
  • Using PAVE’s proprietary ConnectedFamilies database to enter, update, and share information sent, shared, and/or provided to all voucher recipients, respite providers, and/or prospective and attendees of the family camp retreats in a timely manner.
  • Assure the implementation of evaluations and compile results for reports and informed decisions with the program.
  • Assure timely information and communication of activities to the LRW Director, Executive Director, and all team members.
  • Assist with writing content to assist voucher and/or family camp retreat recipients to use respite services and receive a break.

Outreach

  • Develop and disseminate outreach materials for voucher and family camp recipients to explain, promote, recruit, and report outcomes.
  • Track various marketing campaigns and tactics.
  • Develop content materials (i.e., website, FAQs, prepare and attend the family camp retreat, etc.) and to help families prepare for the camp experience. 

 Job Requirements for all Staff:

  • Maintain confidentiality of families and other staff members.
  • Be prompt in arriving at work site, meetings, and workshops.
  • Submitting accurate time sheets daily is preferred and at least weekly to include description of work performed.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Assure your schedule is up to date on the Shared Calendar
  • Assist all colleagues in meeting timelines.
