Social studies lessons should be more than learning about a country’s capital and its main export. The following is an activity that can take as little as ten minutes and engages students by having them search on the web for unusual, fun, and cool things. This activity is appropriate for all ages, although if their English skills are below 4th grade level or their computer skills are minimal, they will need help from a parent, older sibling, or guardian.
